Albania

Since 1928 when they found oil here they have pumped oil in the Kucova. Albania did not have a refinery of their own they exported the oil and got oil products in return. We were out of the bus to have a look and noticed the strong smell. It did not look too clean around and a rather large river were running through the area. The nick-name of the city here is 'Stalin city'

We continued through the landscape towards Berat where we had another great lunch at the 2500 year old castle.
