Next to the zoo you find Schönbrunn castle, a very uniqu place, and well worth a visit while you are in the area. Its nice to visit all time of the year, and in autum the colours are nice in the huge gardens behind the castle. I was too late to enter the building, but I did that on my first visit to Vienna, ages ago.
