Bhutan Druk Yul Phunakha Dzong

Phunaka Dzong is located on the island of the Pho between Chu river (male) and Mochu river (female) When you look at the first picture you can clearly see the difference between the two, the dark one is the female and the more greenish is the male. Some years ago an ice-made lake bust, and the flood it created destroyed a large part of the Dzong. It is now rebuilt as it was originally. As every Dzong it has a very strategic place in the valley.
