Many nice buildings and stupas inside the walls

Jambay Lhakhang

This monastry was built in the 7th century by King Songtsen Goempo of Tibet. In his effort to propagate Buddhism he had a plan to build a total of 108 tempels in Tibet and neighboring kingdoms. Two were built in what today is Bhutan, and this is one. the temples were built to suppress a great demon and Jambay Lhakhang was built on the left knee of the demon.

Nice to walk around in between these old walls
