Bonaire
East- south- and westside

The next day we started eastwards where we knew there was a huge lagune and we stayed there for several hours and enjoyed what was available, including a nice meal at the local beachresturant. Lots of people were windsurfing there, both professionals and newcomers. In the afternoon we continues southwards to have a look at the lighthouse at the most southern point of the island. On the westcoast we met more flamingoes and also saw mountains of salt, ready to be exported out into the world.

We spent many hours here just enjoying the area and bathing in the luke warm water
Driving southwards to have a look at the area
Quite a lot of power in the waves here, so better watch out
Areas where the slaves lived in the old time
More flamingoes by the saltlake
Mountains of salt, ready to be exported and salt along the shore
