What I remember from this town are the bad roads. I have never seen so many roads where they were digging holes. When they had finished, they did not pave the road, and you can imaginge the result.
I did not see too much interesting either to take pictures of, but something I found. The first part on this page is from the national museum, which was worth a visit.
The periode of Khmer Rouge is unavoidable. Two million people were in the city when the soldiers arrived in the morning, and noen in the evening. They wanted to start at year 0 again, and this had its horrible effect. It took nearly 1 hour to drive the 15 km out to the killing fields - but it is worht it, and also to the school that was made into a torture chamber.
