Richmond Hill Manse - 1830 - Richmond hill
The home of the Fisherville Persbyterian Church Miniser and his family. this stucco-coverd house is of unusual
plank-on-plank construction in which wood planks are stacked one on to p of hte other to create 6" to 8" thick walls. This
technique, in vogue when wood was cheap and plentiful, provided an uneven surface inside and out for the application
of plaster and stucco finish.
