Canada Province of Ontario Fort George

Fort George was build by the brittish in 1790. During the war of 1812 the americans burnt it down. The reconstruction started in the 1930's. On the day of my visit locals recalled the battle outside the fort between the americans and british in 1813 where the fort again was in the hands of the brittish. Dressed up with uniforms and weapons from that time they showed us the whole battle and finally the american flag was lowered and the brittish went up.
