We started off on a
beautiful day towards the Pacific ocean and the harbour town of
Valpareiso. It used to be very important as it was the first town
along the coast of South America when they came sailing up the
country after crossing from the Atlantic Ocean. When the Panama
Canal was open the traffic went down but it is still the most
important harbour for Chile.
