Climbing up the mountains

We arrived at the foot of the mountainrange, and slowly we started climbing upwards to the top, around 3600m high. We passed areas with green vegitation, and other areas which looked more desert like. Rivers floated along the road and still had supply of melting snow and ice up in the mountain. The old railroad between Santiago and Mendoza were still there, but part of it were not usable. There are talks about restarting trains again, but it will cost a lot of money to get the track in ship shape for modern trains. At the end we were going up the roads, filled with hairnail turns, and at the top we had been through nearly 30 of them. With the weather we had, it was just a great pleasure to do the trip.
