A CULTURAL TRAVEL THROUGH IMAGES

Czech republic
East Bohemia
Hradec Kralove

Hradec Kralove is the provincial capital of East Bohemia. If you arrive at the railwaystation, the first place to start looking around in is the new part of the town - Nove Mesto. When they started to construct this part, the famous arcitect Jan Kotera was engaged to fullfill the constructions. After world war I his pupil Josef Gocar took over and it was during the 1920's that the completion of the area was completed Here you can find examples of Czech kubistic arkiteture at its best. Other engaged arcitects were Pavel Janak and Josef Chocol. On this page I present some of the interesting buildings I found while walking around on my visit.
