When you have visited Amalienborg castle you can just continue up the Bredegade and you get to Østerbro district. There are lots to look around at and a visit at the fortress you just have to make. Look around and walk along the waterprotection that are all around. Next to the fortress you find the English church, the impressive Gefion fountain, other monuments and walk back to the city along the harbour. It's also up here you find the statue of the mermaid. I'm sure you will enjoy this trip.
