Temple of Kom Ombo

The temple is dedicated to two gods - Sobek and Haroeris. This temple was build on secret ground in Ptolemaic times with Ptolemy VI as the ambitious builder. Most of the decorations were completed by Ptolemyu XII, and he was the father of Cleopatra. Everything in this temple i boubled and perfectly symmetrical along the main axis of the temple. The left (western) side was dedicated to Haroeris, and the right side (eastern) to Sobek, the local crocodile god.
