Luxor - Karnak temple (part 1)

Karnak temple of Luxor is the largest we visit, and it occupy an area of 1.5km x 800m. The start of the temple dates back to Sesostris I (1965-1920 BC), but the major additions tothe complex were built by pharaoes between the 18th and 20th dynasty (1570 - 1090 BC) Its an impressive collection of temples, statues, obelisks and more. What may impress most, is the hight of the buildings and colums. In the old times there were a road betwen Karnak temple and Luxor temple, about 3km long, but just a small fragment are visable today. Expect many tourists so have good time. You will find more pictures on part 2 and part 3 of the Karnak temple presentation. Enjoy the visit.
