Seobok Exhibition

The legend about 'Seobul' starts with the name inscribed on the cliff of the Jeonbang waterfall. Seobul, who was an envoy of Chin, the powerful emperor of China, came to Mt. Youngju, one of the three holy montains with the elixir of eternal life, looking for one for emperor Chin's immortal life with the huge delegation of 500 men and women. After Seobul anchored his ship in the shore of the Jeonbang waterfall, he climbed Mt. Yonggju, found the elixir of the life, and returned to the west. As he returned, he inscripted 'Seolbulgwaji' on the cliff of the Jeongbang waterfall, from which 'seogwipo' the name of this city was derived. Seobok Exhibition is the place where the data about this legend are collected and exhibited.
