Naksansa temple |

The Naksansa temple is
famous for its huge white statue of Gwaneum (but I did not find
it when i visited the temple are - due to lack of time available)
The original temple was build in 671 AD, rebuild in 858 AD but
burned down during the korean war. In 1953 it was reconstructed
following the original design. The stone arch with a pavilion
build upon it dates from 1465. Some weeks after my visit parts of
the temple were hit by a fire that destroied some of the
buildings.
