When I stepped
onto the island from the boat in Mekong river, this 20 minute
visit made Laos my 51nd visited cuntry. It was a short stop, and
we paid 20 thai bath to enter. But prices were low so shopping
was nice. And the boat bought petrol in Laos because it was
cheaper there than in Thailand, a fact I well know between Norway
and Sweden, and guess who has the cheapest petrol there
