A CULTURAL TRAVEL THROUGH IMAGES

LAOS
VIENTIANE
The town and the rivers

The capitol of Laos is situated along the river of Mekong, and on the other bank of the river you can see Thailand. The first bridge across the river is built between the two countries and can be seen south of Vientiane. The central part of the town is easy accessable, and you can find lots of interesting buildings to look closer to. In 2002 you could also find the only ATM in the country. Here I present some small shots - other interesting places have got a page of their own.

Hope you will have a nice visit - and if you click the pictures you will find a big one.
