The Old Medina of Casablanca is also such a beautiful place that holds a prestigious background in it. The Old Medina of Casablanca one of the places in Casablanca that belong to the prehistoric era. Visit this historical place and encounter the glorious past of the city. The Old Medina of Casablanca can be termed as the remnant part of the Muslim area of the city of Casablanca. In the year 1755, a terrifying earthquake caused a great harm to the Old Medina and the after effect remained from almost 15 years. Then gradually reconstructions took place and Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah took the charge of it. However, what you will see now, is a product of the 19th century. The Old Medina reflects a great combination of the Arab- Islamic and western architectural styles. The Old Medina initially had four stonewalls. However, now there is only one left. When you cross the gate of the Old Medina, you will see a busy market out there. Various food shops and spice shops are there. There is also a fishing harbor very close to the Old Medina, Casablanca. Walking through the narrow streets of this market is in itself a delight.
