Rennesøy - Fjøløy and Åmøy

Fjøløy is an old fort, and also a lighthouse. It was strong wind the day I visited, so it was great standing at the edge out there by the lighthouse and lean against the wind, and feeling almost like you are flying. Another nice church to stop by is Sørbø church, stonechurch in roman style from around 1100. It was the 5th of the 14 royal chapels in Norway. But even older than the church are the stone-carvings that you can find at Austre Åmøy (actually part of Stavanger comunity). It's interesting to walk around and look at these made in the bronze age.
