Bjerkeim is on of the larger comunities in Rogaland county. Much is covered by rocks and mountains, making the area interesting to see all the contrasts there are. Our larges waterfall - Månafossen, is located here. Its also a popular area for skiing during winter, as its rather close to Stavanger. Some 10.000 years ago the glacier covering northern Europe started to melt, leaving a whole valley covered with huge rocks, named Gloppedalsura. And close to here you will find the road-stop that was voted the best one in Norway some years ago. There you can also do your christmas decoration shopping or candle lights. And while you are looking around, the children can make their own candlelight. And of course food is great here too.
