Bergen: Fløien and along the quay

A good place to start your exploration of Bergen is to take the funicular up to the top of mountain Fløyen. From up there you have a great view over central part of Bergen, and that is really nice too. You may take the funicular up, and then walk along the small streets down again, or take a stroll into the area, where there are well marked paths for a very nice walk.

When you get down, take a stroll along the quay to have a look at all the nice old buildings and the life in the harbour. The Bergen pride 'Statsraad Lemkuhl' the tall sailship is often by the quay, and its well worth a look.
