A nice way to go between
Bergen and Stavanger (or the other way too of course) is by boat.
You can move around while looking at the landscape, nature and
enjoy the ride. The boat make various stops along the way, and
you can have a good look at life along the west coast of Norway.
This route have been
between the two cities for ages, but from January 1st 2014 it
will be history. The two counties: Rogaland and Hordaland who are
supporting this route could (or maybe the truth is they would)
not agree about the financing of the part where the border
between the two counties are - between Haugesund and Stord. So
now they are just blaming each other about who would not continue
the support, and nothing is done to maintain the nice boattrip.
Getting between the two cities now will be by bus or plane only.
We surely will lose a very nice and comfortable trip between the
important part of western Norway.
