The original
church were built in Fortun in Sogn in 1150, and were moved to
the present location in Fana outside Bergen in 1883. On June 6th
1992 a guy put it on fire, and it was totaly destroyed. It was
reconstructed according to drawings and photos, and reopened in
1995, so what you see here today is a complete copy of the
original one, but not less impressive.
