The sceneries on this island is very various, from flat landscape to steep sharp mountains. The chance of seeing a sea eagle is very good here and there is an island where about 50,000 pairs of (lundefugl) are raising their young ones every year. Here you will also find the only rocketlaunch place in Norway. Sientic rocets explore the sky of the northern part of the world, specialy the northern light during the winter. The road are on the waitinglist to be proclaimed National Touristroad, and when you drive along there, its no wonder why. Small villages are facing the Atlantic ocean, and the weater can be really tough during winter.
