Peru - Ica district Islas Ballestas

Just outside Paracas you will find the very colourful and nicely formed Islas Ballestas. Going out there you will find a lot of birds and animals from the sea, like pingvins, sealions, pelican and so many others. The islands are still an important resourse for collecting guano - the 'shit' from the many animals. Today its usually collected each 3. or 4. year. It's a bit difficult taking pictures from a small boat, but I hope you enjoy what I've got.
