Nazca lines |
|
|
The Nazca lines must be
what this little town is most world wide know for. Many people
have been trying to figure out what all the lines and figures
means, and not the least how the Nazca culture managed to make
them. The longest line is 37 km long! A visit to one of the most
famous persons who undertook intense investigations, the german
lady Maria Reiche is well worth, and her house is today a nice
little museum. The lines and figures are almost only visible from
air, and the small 3-passenger planes are on the wings all the
times. It was not easy to take good pictures up there, but I have
managed as best as I can. On the thumbnails I have marked the
location with a square, but when you go to the larger version I
have cut out the figure so you can see it better. Hope you will
enjoy the Nazca lines.
