Mandrogi

After WWII the village Verkhnie Mandrogi was totally destroyed and was taken out from official maps. In 1996 Mr. Gutzeit started to reconstruct the village and in 1999 it was back on the maps. It's interesting to see all the different buildings that are there, and on a small island there is a lot of wooden statues taken from various russian fairytails. To get out there you go onto a ferry that the guy have to drag across the water and back again. At the end of the visit we had an enjoyable lunch there.
