In memory of those who
explored the interior of the country you can visit the
Voortrekker monument, located just outside Pretoria. It is an
impressive building and with the sculptures along the inside
walls you are presented with their struggle and hard work. There
is also a small museum in the basement, and from the top of the
monument you have a lovely view over the Pretoria area. It is
well worth a visit.
