A CULTURAL TRAVEL THROUGH IMAGES

USA
Alaska
Seward

We had to get up early in the morning to catch the 6.45 am train by Alaska Railroad Corporation from Anchorage towards Seward. Luckily our hotel was next to the station, so it was not a long way to get there. And the weather that was provided for us was just fantastic, and made the journy even more memoriable. We traveled best class with really good view from the top of the carriage, where there also were outside platform making it more easy to get some good pictures of the great landscape that passed us on the more than 5 hours trip.

Here are some of my impressions - click on a picture to have a larger version

The sun coloured the sky nicely and the train was ready for departure
First half was the same as the day before, but then it changed and we got more into the countryside
Nice landscape with mountains, glaciers, woods, rivers and open landscape

Look at the mirror-effect on this lake
Getting closer and passed this large lake
Some timber remains on the shore of the river
