The Vatican |
Welcome to the smallest country in the world. But what magificent buildings they can present for you. Of course a visit to the cathedral of St. Pauls is a must, and I can recomend a trip up the cupola. Either you stop and look down to the interior of the wonderful church, or continue up the more than 200 steps to the top and look out over Rome from high above - it is well worth the time.
We wanted to have a look at the Sixten Chappel and the famous paintings of Rembrandt, but unfortunately it was closed when we arrived there early a sunday morning, and so was the Vatican Museum. But that is a good reason for going back - one day.
