A visit to the Imperial
Citadel and forbidden Purple city is a must when you visit Hue,
and it is impressive and well worth a couple of hours. It was a
huge area, with a lot of interesting and beautiful buildings,
hosting the emperors family and all his helpers. Unfortunately a
lot was destroyed during two wars, but it has been rebuild and
gives a good impression of what it must have been like, years
ago.
