We had lunch in this very small lovely village. The resturant we expected to visit was closed, but there was another around and they managed quite well. The main street had some traffic, and the police were out having an overlook. At the end there was a monument of somone famous in the village. http;/travnor.priv.no/MEX/mex1301.htm
Cenote Azul
Because of the condition of the earth in this area, most of the water are running under the soil. Some places it gather in huge pools, and one day the earth collapsed and revealed these big water collections. They are called 'cenote', and we visited Cenote Azul. (The blue cenote) It is very popular to visit on Sundays and boys and girls were jumping into the lovely water. This cenote was 90 meter deep, so no danger of hitting the bottom when they jumped.
Chetumal city
From Chetumal it's only a short trip to the border of Belize, but we did not do that. We arrived it the town just as the sun set, and I managed to get a shot. Chetumal is an very old Maya city and import and export was very important. The Maya exported gold, feathers, cocoa. The spanish arrived here in 1511, but it was only in 1898 the european settled down here.
