Templo Mayor
This important temple is said to
be where the aztecs discovered the eagle with the snake in its
mouth - a sign telling them where to build their town. The temple
was destructed by Cortes, and the ruins were discovered in 1978.
You can see parts of the temple today, and in the museum at the
ground you can see a reconstruction of the temple area and
interesting items found on the ground. Well worth a visit.
