Kirkenes, Vardø,

In 2010 we had
the pleasure of sailing with the Costal steamer that sails
between Bergen and Kirkenes, every day. We started with an extra
day in Kirkenes so we could explore the area where our common
border with Russia is running for about 190 km.
On the boat we
sailed along the coast and could look at the changing sceneries,
and also visit towns and villages along when the boat made a
shoort stop. The visit to the North Cape was looked forward to,
but the weather could have been better, but after all we got to
see something. Stories tells that people have been there several
times, and all the time it was low hanging clouds, preventing
them to see anything.
