Svalbard - Blåsvellbreen

On this trip they took us to a place which was not mentioned in the program. During the night we sailed from Moffen to the edge of Austfonna, the largest glazier in Svalbard. The edge stretches 250 km along the coast, and when we woke up we were already at the Blåsvellbreen area. Unfortunately the cold weather and warmer sea created quite a thick fog as temperature was only +2,8c. In the beginning we could hardly see the ice that can be between 2 and 10 meters tall, so we had to enjoy the broken off ice floating in the water, but before we had to turn, we got a look at the glacier and it was impressive. The glacier is located on the island called Nordaustlandet.
