This was the main church of the Jesuits
when they came to Peru and Arequipa. You just must not miss a
visit into this church. Inside you will find carved volcanic
stone arcades and beautiful painted chapels. The highlight inside
is the very specially decorated Ignasius chapel, and I hope you
will enjoy the visit there as much as I did, even if they were
renovating at the moment.
