The first day on
the boat was completely in sea. But slowly passing the landscape
gave a great impression of the various landscapes this part of
the USA can give their visitors. In the afternoon we spent some
hours exploring the impressive Hubbard glacier, a 10 km long, and
as far as I remember, up to 100m high. The weather really made
the time we spent there just great. We saw some calvings too, but
not as big as the ones we had seen the day before.
